The submission process for MTO494 Research Projects in the 2025–2026 Spring Semester consists of three stages:

*In the first stage, students are required to submit two files:

1.        A two-page extended abstract of the study prepared in Word format on A4 paper size (attachment: MTO494_ornek.docx), and

2.        An A4-sized version of the poster to be prepared for the second stage (in jpg/png or pdf format).

These documents must be sent to metmuh-uubf@itu.edu.tr by 16:00 on Monday, 8 June 2026. The subject line of the email must be "MTO494 Research Project".

** In the second stage, A0-sized (1189x841 mm) vertically prepared posters will be evaluated by the students’ advisors and the jury members assigned later in the process.

The posters prepared for the MTO494 Research Project will be exhibited in the designated area in the basement floor (Z floor) of the MED C Building on Wednesday, 17 June 2026.

The advisors and jury members assigned for each student will visit the students’ posters between 12:00–15:00 on Wednesday, 17 June 2026, ask questions, and evaluate the students.

Posters prepared according to the specified dimensions must be hung by the students in the area assigned with their names/poster numbers in the foyer area starting from 10:30 on Wednesday, 17 June 2026, and must be removed by the students starting from 15:30 on the same day.

Students are required to be present next to their posters between 12:00–15:00 on Wednesday, 17 June 2026.

Students who are not present next to their posters during this time interval will not be evaluated.

*** The final stage: After completion of all jury recommendations, revisions, additions, etc., students must prepare their project reports according to the MTO494 template available under the "Documents" section on the department website. The reports must be prepared in 6 to 10 pages and submitted in both Word and PDF formats by 16:00 on Wednesday, 8 July 2026, again by sending an email to metmuh-uubf@itu.edu.tr with the subject "MTO494 Research Project".

If there are any changes in the poster submitted in the first stage, the updated poster must be attached; if not, the previously submitted A4 poster must be attached as a PDF.
