To the attention of students of the Department of Meteorological Engineering who are taking the MTO494 Research Project course:

As of the 2024-2025 Fall Semester, the MTO494 Research Project will be carried out according to the procedure described below.

1. Students must register for the MTO494 Research Project course opened under the faculty member with whom they have previously contacted during the registration period.
2. The project title must be submitted to the Department with advisor approval by 17:00 on the Monday of the second week of the semester.
3. By the last day of the final examinations at the latest, students must submit an extended abstract of at least 1000 words, including the results obtained in the research project, to the Department.
4. In the week following the end of the final examinations, the research project will be presented as a poster at the Faculty on the dates to be announced by the Department.
5. Jury members determined in advance will evaluate the students’ poster presentations on the days and times to be announced by the Department.
6. By the date to be announced by the Department following the presentations and evaluations, students must submit the revised paper, if requested by the jury, and an A4-size electronic copy of the poster presentation to the Department.

At the end of the relevant academic year, the extended abstracts and A4 poster presentations that have been graded by the jury in both semesters, found successful, and submitted to the Department by the students will be compiled and published by the Department in e-booklet format.

All relevant dates and poster size information will be announced by the Department during the process.
