The Istanbul Technical University (ITU) Academic Performance Awards 2025 were presented in three categories. The award ceremony took place on June 4, 2025, at our Ayazağa Campus.

ITU Rector Prof. Dr. Hasan Mandal delivered the opening speech. Prof. Dr. Mandal highlighted that ITU is not only a university that produces knowledge, but also one that inspires with its past and takes responsibility for its future. Our Rector stated that every ITU academic is part of a large ecosystem that generates knowledge, inspires, and opens up to the world.This year, for the fourth time, a total of 316 individuals were deemed worthy of awards across three different categories at the Istanbul Technical University (ITU) Academic Performance Awards:

• Research assistants who produced the highest academic output based on publications in their department in 2024.
•  
• Faculty members who produced the highest academic output based on publications in their department in 2024.

   

• Faculty members who demonstrated the highest academic performance in their department between 2022-2024.

While 132 faculty members were honored in the academic performance category, 144 academicians and 102 research assistants received awards in the publication category. The awards were presented by our Rector, Prof. Dr. Hasan Mandal.
