Chairman of TUYAD, Mr. Hayrettin Özaydın, together with Prof. Dr. B. Koray Tunçalp from Haliç University and Dr. Uğur Kesen from Marmara University, visited Prof. Dr. Zahit Mecitoğlu, Dean of the Faculty of Aeronautics and Astronautics at Istanbul Technical University, along with his administrative team at the ITU Central Lecture Hall Building.

TUYAD is launching a significant educational initiative aimed at enhancing the quality of the workforce in the sector and supporting young talents. In collaboration with Küpsat Uydu Teknolojileri Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş., a consortium member active in satellite and satellite equipment production, and the Faculty of Aeronautics and Astronautics at Istanbul Technical University—one of Turkey’s most prestigious universities—this project will offer free training, seminars, and certification programs to students enrolled in relevant university departments.

Within the scope of the program, theoretical and practical trainings will be provided by leading industry representatives and expert academics. Participants will have the opportunity to closely follow the latest developments in the sector and will be equipped with knowledge and skills that contribute to their career development.

The training topics will include:

  1. Commissioning and operations of VSAT systems,

  2. Satellite communication solutions during disaster scenarios,

  3. Next-generation satellite technologies,

  4. Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellites and payloads—technical and strategically significant subjects.

With this collaboration, TUYAD aims to connect aspiring engineers with the sector, enrich academic education with practical knowledge, and contribute to strengthening Turkey’s competencies in the field of space and communication technologies. Further details and the application process will be announced in the coming days.

We extend our sincere gratitude to the ITU administration and their esteemed team for their warm hospitality and support in facilitating this collaboration.
