Our ITU Pars Rocket Team successfully launched the hybrid engine rocket, which it designed and developed with its own means, on 15 September 2024 in Aksaray.

Student teams operating within Istanbul Technical University (ITU) continue to take decisive steps towards contributing to engineering sciences with their groundbreaking works. On 15 September 2024, ITU Pars Rocket Team members came together at Hisar Shooting Range in Aksaray and successfully launched the hybrid engine rocket they designed. The rocket, which was the product of a two-year process and successfully launched as a result of the hard work of a team of 15 people, was a first in Turkey in terms of being produced entirely by a student team.

ITU Rector Prof. Dr. Hasan Mandal, who attended the launch of the rocket with a hybrid engine, shared the joy and enthusiasm of ITU students who worked on the project with the following words ‘I believe that the ideas and devoted efforts of our young people, who do what they are told they cannot do, will lead to great developments in the future. We are always proud and happy with the success of our Pars Rocket Team.’
