BAYKAR Science High School Students Visit Our Faculty

by Mar 16, 2026

Students from the BAYKAR Science High School Entrepreneurship Club visited our Faculty of Aeronautics and Astronautics on March 11, 2026, accompanied by their teacher, Mr. Fatih Seçen, and under the coordination of Mr. Onur Küçükdoğan from the Turkey Technology Team Foundation (T3 Foundation). Guided by our Vice Dean, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mete Budaklı, the students had the opportunity to examine the education and research activities conducted at the Faculty on-site.

As part of the program, the students attended an undergraduate lecture, experiencing the university classroom environment firsthand.

Following the lecture, the students toured the laboratories within our Faculty and were briefed on the ongoing scientific studies, experimental setups, and research infrastructure.

Throughout the visit, the students were introduced to the educational opportunities, departmental structures, and research activities of our Faculty, while also having the chance to ask faculty members questions about their areas of interest.

As part of their ITU campus tour, the group also visited the Süleyman Demirel Cultural Center (SDKM), where they had the opportunity to meet and converse with the Rector of ITU, Prof. Dr. Hasan Mandal, and the President of the Zero Waste Foundation, Mr. Samed Ağırbaş. Prof. Dr. Mandal and Mr. Ağırbaş took a close interest in the students.

We were delighted to host the students and wish them every success in their academic journeys.
