ITU Participation in ICAS

by Ali Uygur | Jul 18, 2025

The Faculty of Aeronautics and Astronautics at Istanbul Technical University (ITU), established in 1957, has recently become the newest member of the Global Academic Institutions Network (GAIN) of the International Council of the Aeronautical Sciences (ICAS), an organization that fosters the exchange and collaboration of scientific research in aviation through its biennial international congresses. With this membership, ITU has earned the distinction of being the first institution from Turkey to join ICAS.

ICAS GAIN provides an open platform for communication and collaboration among aviation research institutions and universities worldwide (more information: https://www.icas.org/). Additionally, ICAS supports the advancement of interdisciplinary projects and the identification of emerging research topics through its technical committees.

We are proud to share this important milestone as the Faculty of Aeronautics and Astronautics at ITU.
