Research and Teaching Assistant, İstanbul Technical University, The Faculty of Aeronautics and Astronomic Science, Meteorology Department, 2008-2009.
Visiting researcher, Meteorology Department, Florida State University, 2004-2008.
Research and Teaching Assistant, İstanbul Technical University, The Faculty of Aeronautics and Astronomic Science, Meteorology Department, 1994-2004.
Research Interests :
Areas of special research interests are in atmospheric variability and predictability. She works with a variety of Numerical Weather Models to understand atmospheric variations from diurnal, intra-seasonal to interannual time scales. These numerical tools include Meso Scale Atmospheric Models, Atmospheric General Circulation Models and Coupled Ocean-Atmosphere Models.
Dr. Sirdas also has a wide range of interests that include WRF/ARW, FSU Synthetic Superensemble Model, Hydrological Modeling, HEC-HMS, Physics of Precipitation and Clouds, Precipitation analyze and forecast, Hydrometeorology, Drought, Flood Forecast, Hydrology, General Atmospheric Circulations, Short term Wind Forecast etc.
